“The Four Hour Workweek” Review
I finished the book and in a nutshell, this is my opinion: AWESOME. It really appeals to me on several levels, I guess. It is directly in tune with what I am trying to accomplish - weirdly so. This is a strong case for the power of the Law of Attraction at work. The freedom and lifestyle that Tim Ferriss is an advocate of and has achieved closely parallels the ideas that have been the subject of my intense focus.
When you are so focused on something that it is in your every waking thought as well as your dreams, you will attract that in to your life. That is precisely what happened in this case. I have been intently focusing on a specific goal and this book appeared to help me achieve just that. It is exactly what I need at this stage of my “lifestyle redesign.”
I am not going to go in to much detail on the content of the book itself. I will say that for somebody who wants to get out of the rat race and live a life based on freedom and choice, it is a perfect road map for your journey. The book itself gives precise instructions on what to do from day one to the day you can proclaim yourself free. It has a lot of very useful technical advice such as companies and websites that are invaluable resources in making the transition.
Along with being highly inspirational, I feel the book’s true value lies in the fact that it gets you to start thinking and stimulate your mind to be open to new ideas and to recognize opportunities that are already right in front of you. Not to mention that it can give you the jolt necessary to get your creative juices flowing. I have already re-read the chapter on Income Auto-Pilot several times and get brand new inspiration for new businesses (or muses, as he refers to businesses in the book) every single time, as well as new ideas on how to implement them in my current situation.
This is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to make a drastic change. This book is not for the timid or the content. It is not going to appeal to a lot of people based simply on the fact that it’s thoughts are so radical and contradictory to the accepted norms of our current society that it will actually offend some readers. Which is a good thing…
For anyone who is serious about making some changes, this book is a must read. Whether you want to completely redesign your life or just adjust things so you can have some extra free time, there is a wealth of good information in this book.
