Writing My First E-Book - Part 1

Monday, January 14th, 2008

I have been doing a ton of reading lately - probably too much. Looking back over the Success or Failure post from a couple of days ago, I decided I needed to put one more project on my plate and write an e-book. Time is precious these days - selling real estate is my primary source of income and between taking care of my own clients and helping manage the team, it can take up quite a bit of time each day. Maintaining that is critical and most of the “lifestyle design” projects that I am working on get pushed in to my personal time - nights and weekends - hence this post getting written around 1:00 am when I have to get up at 5:30 am.

“The Four Hour Workweek” Review

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

I finished the book and in a nutshell, this is my opinion: AWESOME. It really appeals to me on several levels, I guess. It is directly in tune with what I am trying to accomplish - weirdly so. This is a strong case for the power of the Law of Attraction at work. The freedom and lifestyle that Tim Ferriss is an advocate of and has achieved closely parallels the ideas that have been the subject of my intense focus.

The University of Barnes & Noble

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

I love Barnes and Noble - the shear amount of knowledge contained on those shelves is amazing to me. It’s an addiction, really. I have to limit myself every single time I go in that store.

I actually just finished a very good book by Pat O’Bryan called “Your Portable Empire” and it had a ton of great information. I read all the reviews on it and they seem to be split down the middle - either people loved it or hated it. And did so passionately. This in and of itself is generally a good indicator that it is probably a good read. Anything that ruffles peoples feathers a little bit is generally interesting…

Venice Beach and the Flip-Flop Inspiration

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

I love Venice Beach… there is never a lack of things going on and there is no better place to people watch in the world. I love the ocean as well - most likely because I never got to see it as a child or maybe I just have a connection with it. Maybe because it it is so endless and powerful… whatever the reason is, I always feel more connected to the universal consciousness just standing and watching the waves.

My First Website

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

As I have mentioned, it was about a year ago that I started getting the bug to try something different and try and develop passive income. I decided that since I had a great knowledge base in real estate sales and training, something to do with real estate would be a good place to start.

Somewhere around June of 2007 I took a couple of weeks off and wrote (with help from my partner Darren) the bulk of the training e-books to help real estate agents build their business. The idea was to put together a website for real estate agents where they could get a complete business system for a very reasonable price.
